SWE 86 Ellen III was designed by Harry Nordgren in 1923. Harry was an engineer at Rörstrand’s factory in Lidköping. During the 1920s he designed a couple of Skärgårdskryssare that were built by his brothers. Ellen III was built as the last SK30 with gaff rig with dimensions 12.35×1.87.

Patrik Stenberg, Commodore of the Swedish Sk30 Association, have owned the yacht since 2001. Under his hands, Ellen has undergone a major renovation but much remains to be done. Ellen’s best result is fourth place overall and best Swedish boat at the European Cup 2012 in Nynäshamn.
